What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony starts at 4 pm, so we recommend arriving 5-10 minutes early to secure a seat.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be outdoors on cobblestone. The reception will be indoors. The welcome event will be both indoors and outdoors.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

The hotel is the venue for the ceremony! Shuttles will not be provided, but ride-sharing is plentiful in the area.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the wedding party will be taking pictures nearby. Guests can head straight to the reception area for a cocktail hour.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

La Playa offers a small, private parking lot located behind the hotel, and street parking is available too.

Is there a dress code for the wedding?

Answer

On Saturday, we’d love for our guests to join us in black tie to help make the evening feel extra special. Floor-length dresses/gowns, tuxedos or formal suits, and black bowties are all appropriate.

Is there a dress code for the welcome event?

Answer

Yes! On Friday, please join us in cocktail attire. Tea- or floor-length dresses, suits, dark jackets and slacks are all appropriate.

How's the weather?

Answer

The weather in Carmel in October is mild, with average highs of 70°F and lows of 56°F. We recommend bringing a coat in case it gets chilly after sunset.
