Lomas Airport Transportation

This transfer is provided by Lomas Travel Roundtrip Private Eurovan Transfer, this will be booked for you with the resort through our travel agent, Dea. Arrival instructions: Pass Mexican immigration. Pick up your luggage and clear customs. After clearing customs, you will exit to a hall, where you will find different booths, DO NOT STOP, please walk until you are outside. Lomas will be right outside your arrival terminal, wearing white pants and tie, and green/turquoise shirt, they will welcome you with a Classic Vacations sign, and take you to your transportation. You will receive a Welcome Briefing, how to contact our Guest Service Executive at your hotel in order to confirm the return transfer. Classic suggests calling Lomas Travel to reconfirm your service 48 hours prior to arrival. If calling from USA, dial 1 844 506 2726. If calling from Mexico, dial 998 881 94 08. Cancellation within 48 hours will be fully non-refundable. The cost of the Car seat is 15 usd RT (in a private transfer) When our guests book shared transfer they must have to pay for the car seat plus the room of the car seat. Guest must have to approached our LMS rep at the hotel to pay the Car Seat Service to guarantee also the return car seat.

Colectivos

If you wish to leave the resort to go to downtown Playa Del Carmen there are many ways to get there, one being a colectivo! They are vans that are shared transportation, picking up people and dropping them off along the way- cheaper than other options but are smaller and sometimes less cool in temperature. When you are on the highway right outside of the resort, you will go to the side of the road for the direction you want to go in. Then you will raise your hand when you see a van coming. If the van is full it will not stop. You will tell the driver that you want to go to “La Quinta Avenida” (5th Avenue) to get downtown and “Iberostar Selection Paraiso Maya” to get back! You will need small pesos to ride.

You can go to the Iberostar Del Mar Lobby and ask the concierge to call a taxi. You will ask to go to “La Quinta Avenida” (5th Avenue) and then back to Iberostar Selection Paraiso Maya. You can coordinate with your taxi driver to come back and pick you up at a set time and place before you are dropped off so you don’t have to call a taxi to get back. Typically they will provide their phone number so you can stay in touch. Taxis cost $27 each way and can be paid in American dollars or credit card.

Bus from Iberostar

There is a bus that goes from the Del Mar Iberostar Lobby to downtown Playa Del Carmen twice a day, everyday from 11 am- 2pm and 5pm- 9pm. If you leave on the 11 am bus you have to return on the 2 pm bus, you can not come back on the 9pm bus. You have to arrive 15 minutes before departure at the lobby! This will cost $12 roundtrip per person and can be paid with American Dollars or credit card.

Golfcart Transportation Around the Resort!
You can get a ride on a golfcart to get around the resort by waiting at the small huts scattered throughout the resort, or by dialing “0” on your room phone and ask the concierge to call a ride for you to your building number!
