FAQs

Question

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

We ask that you dress in cocktail/ semi-formal attire, black is preferred if you’d like to match the wedding colors!

Question

Will I have cell service in Mexico?

Answer

You should confirm with your cell carrier that you have coverage in Mexico before you leave so you don’t get charged international fees! There is WiFi throughout the resort that you can connect to.

Question

Do I need to bring cash or pesos?

Answer

We recommend everyone bring small U.S. dollars ($1, $5 & $10 bills) to tip on the resort if you feel so inclined- this is not expected or required- or to purchase things from the resort stores or off the property. Pretty much everywhere in downtown Playa Del Carmen accepts U.S. Dollars so you shouldn’t need to get your money converted to Pesos unless you want to or plan on using the Colectivo transportation. Currently $1 is worth ~17 Pesos. We recommend getting money converted at a local bank in the United States before you leave to get the best rate.

Question

Do we need to be with the wedding party all week?

Answer

Absolutely not! We want everyone to enjoy their vacation however they would like! We will have an itinerary included in our invite that will provide times/places that we will be throughout the week if you want to come say hi and hang out!

Question

If I am staying at a different resort, will I be able to attend the wedding?

Answer

Yes! You will have to pay for a “day pass” upon arrival at the Selection Paraiso Maya lobby. It will cost $92 per person and will allow you to arrive 3 hours before the ceremony (at 2pm).

For all the days along the way
