We met at my sister's house when Brian was there to play 40K with my brother in law, Justin Vonsik (the best man), and I was there to see my sister, Sharita Vonsik (the maid of honor). We said our polite hello's and thought nothing of each other. When chance lead to us being at the Vonsik home at the same time again, we all sat down to eat pizza together for dinner. Brian and I started talking about his antique trucks, historic home, and his small town. It was when he started talking about his love of antique furniture that my interior design loving heart was hooked. After a couple weeks, I asked for his number. I was housesitting my sister's farm when we decided to meet up again at her house on our own. After all, what is more romantic than cleaning out a chicken coop? What was supposed to be a couple hour "get to know you" session turned into an 8 hour non stop talking session. We were clicking so well, we blinked and it was suddenly 10PM. We went out several more times after that (sometimes we went out one night and then made plans to hang out again the next day). A few months later, when we finally realized that we just could not get enough of one another, we decided to make it "official". About a year and a half after that, on my family's annual fall trip, Brian drove 12 hours to Virginia to surprise me on Halloween, at one of my favorite arboretums, to propose. It was absolutely perfect, and I've never spoken a more true "Yes" in my life. We are both so excited to celebrate our union with our friends and family. We look forward to what adventures this life together will bring, and know that we will find each other again in the next. In the words of Kamand Kojouri...
