We became close friends during our senior years of high school, when we became lab partners in A.P. Physics class. Eventually, Nick asked Alice to the movies. This sparked what would become our 10 year journey growing in love and commitment. We shared our senior prom, attended separate colleges and traveled through Europe together following Nick's semester abroad. Alice became a teacher in Middlebury while Nick earned his Master's Degree, and then we finally moved together to Boston to further launch our careers. Through Covid, and the adoption of our cat Minnie, our lives blended and grew together.

Hiking and camping are some of our favorite summer activities. During the summer of 2022, Nick arranged a trip to Acadia National Park in Maine. After much convincing on a particularly cloudy morning, Nick finally managed to get Alice up to the summit of Cadillac Mountain to watch the sunrise. We enjoyed a beautiful sunrise above the clouds, and then ventured to a quieter side of the mountain with a view of the harbor. It was there that Nick proposed and Alice happily accepted!
