After months and months of “eye contact”, Matt finally wrote his number on a napkin for me. And finding this gesture a bit old fashion, in a world where everyone turns to Snapchat or handing a phone to exchange info, I decided to text him ;) And here we are! Lol. After almost a year of dating, raising 3 crazy kids, and one perfect dog together, Matt proposed in Waikiki, this past October ❤️ I’ve always said I wanted to be married on the Fourth of July. Fireworks for my anniversary, my favorite holiday, and the one day a year when everyone around you is happy, friendly, and just enjoying the small things in life with their favorite people. What better day for a wedding! Haha. Thankfully when I told Matt very early on this wild dream of mine, he loved it. Also one of his favorite holidays, and of course you know he loves red, white and blue! (Go Giants!) ❤️🤍💙 So naturally when he proposed, the date was the easy part! Finding a location where it wasn’t 120 degrees, not so much lol. We knew it would be a “destination” style wedding to get out of the heat. We thought pine trees and cooler weather sounded ideal, so were immediately drawn to Pinetop Az, the cutest small town, with great Fourth of July festivities and patriotic vibes for our big day. Little did we know, we’d fall in love with a beautiful ranch about an hour east of Pinetop, an even smaller “small town vibe” in Eagar AZ. But still, lots of green and cooler weather in July 💚 We know it’s a far drive. So many flying in from far away, and then having to drive a few more hours just to get there. It’s a lot of work no doubt just to come see us say “I do”. But, if you’re wanting to see all the views AZ has to offer (from Cacti, to the pines, to the wide open green spaces) you’re in for gorgeous sights. So many small town coffee shops, great local bars in Pinetop, and parades in both Eagar and Showlow, to celebrate the best day of the year 🇺🇸 We are so thankful for everyone willing to make the commute, sacrifice your normal holiday plans, dedicate your time off to a white mountain vacation, and most of all, take time to be there for us. We truly wanted these memories in a place that felt like “us” and had all the qualities of who we are and what’s important to share with all of you on July 4, 2024. We can’t wait to see you all!🤍
