How We Met

9.16. 2021

We both found ourselves knee-deep in a pyramid scheme selling foot masks that had an unintentional side effect - gout for everyone! Amidst the foot-mask frenzy, our connection blossomed into something extraordinary. Jack finally asked Ali out on their first date to his favorite restaurant - none other than Hooters. Though he was in the bathroom for the majority of the time fighting explosive diarrhea, it only brought them closer; Ali understood better than anyone what he was going through because her dog has IBS. The Proposal

7.20.2023

Ali and Jack found themselves floating high above the world in a vibrant hot air balloon, the sun painting the sky with hues of gold and pink. As they gazed out at the breathtaking scenery, Jack mustered the courage to pop the question. With trembling hands, he presented the ring, only for an unforeseen gust of wind to whisk it away. Panic set in, but before they could react, a majestic stork swooped down, catching the ring in its beak. While the sight was both astonishing and heartwarming, Jack knew that Ali's vegan principles would not allow her to do what needed to be done to retrieve the ring, so he took matters into his own hands. In a moment of quick thinking, Jack made the decision to use a his pocket harpoon to assassinate the stork before the ring was gone. After hours of scouring the parking lot of iHOP for the stork carcass, Jack found and washed out the ring he had chosen with love and care. As soon as Ali saw it, her eyes widened in disbelief. It was an oversized plastic ring with a comically large, sparkling, fake diamond. "You must be kidding, right?" she said. Jack shrugged dramatically and responded, "Well, it's the thought that counts, right? But don't worry, it's just a gag ring. The real one is inside the giant inflatable duck behind you!" Ali turned around, and to her surprise, there was a massive inflatable duck with a zipper at the back where the iHOP sign used to be. With curiosity, she unzipped it and found a beautiful, elegant engagement ring nestled inside. She was thrilled and immediately said, "Yes!"
