The Belizean dollar is pegged $2 to $1 USD. USD is accepted and preferred on the island. Bring USD for purchases in town (restaurants) and activities & if you bring too much, you can always bring it home with you! Most places accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover), and there are ATMs on the island which dispense BZD.

We invite you to wear Spring formal. The ceremony & reception will be hosted outside in Belize (temperature around 80 degrees) on the beach and the grass lawn. So dress accordingly! Ties are optional.

What should I pack?

While this is our wedding weekend, this is your vacation too! In addition to your chosen attire, we do recommend bringing a few other items that will enhance your travel experience! -If you intend on participating in a Tour, please bring enough cash for the tour and tip of the tour guide - If you intend on trying out local Restaurants in town, most accept major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover) but some are Cash Only. Plan ahead to assure you have a stress-free weekend - SUN PROTECTION. This one is self explanatory, but please bring sunscreen (Make sure it's reef-safe!). It is available in supermarkets on the island but it is a lot more expensive than in the US. (Gringo prices!) We also always bring a hat and a sun shirt for protection from that strong Belizean sunshine. - SCUBA/SNORKEL GEAR. If you have your own gear, bring it! If not, do not worry--gear will be available on the tours as well.

Getting Around the Island?

There are two main options for transportation, Taxi or Golfcart. Taxis: Most Taxis into San Pedro town are $10-15USD (one way). If you would like to taxi into town, the front desk can arrange it. We recommend obtaining the taxi driver's contact information so you have a easy return trip and can text them whenever you want to return to the hotel. Alternatively, once in town, there is a taxi stand right next to 'Central Park' if you didn't catch the taxi drivers information. Golf Carts: If you would like to rent a golf cart, please contact the hotel for pricing. They can be rented by the hour or day.

Duty Free?

We always start our Belize vacation at the duty free shop in the airport. There is a wide selection of alcohol and cigars available tax-free (belizean tax is 12.5%).
