Norris Dam State Park

Located only 30 minutes from downtown Knoxville on the shoreline of Norris Lake and Reservoir, Norris Dam State Park sits on 4,000 acres surrounded by a quiet, wooded setting. Cabin visitors can enjoy recreational boating, skiing, and fishing as well as the fully equipped Norris Lake marina with boat ramps, with houseboats and pontoon boats available for rent. Norris Park land activities such as hiking, birding, biking, and horseback riding are also on hand for cabin renters. In addition, nearby attractions such as the Museum of Appalachia, the Lenoir Museum, and the Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area are within reach in a matter of minutes. Overall, the variety of activities and amenities offered make Norris Dam State Park cabins a great vacation spot for all ages.

Norris Dam State Park Cabins

Norris Dam State Park has ten standard cabins and 19 historic cabins available to rent. The ten standard cabins have three bedrooms, each with a double bed, one bathroom, living room combined with a dining area and kitchen. Each cabin has a small porch, picnic table, grill and fire pit. Amenities include a microwave, television with local channels, gas fireplace during winter months and central heat and air. The historic cabins were originally constructed in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps and are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. All are located in quiet, wooded settings and are completely equipped with electrical appliances, A/C and heat, utensils, and linens. These historic cabins have a combination living area, kitchenette, and bedroom with some cabins having a separate bedroom off of the porch, and a bathroom with a stand-up shower, as well as a picnic table, grill, and fire pit. Pets are permitted in designated cabins for a small fee.
