Dress code for the reception is semi-formal. The venue is covered but outdoors, so potentially bring layers. Dress code for the welcome event on Friday is casual. We'll be on the back patio so potentially bring layers.
We strongly encourage you to find alternative options for your kids due to the format of the event.
Depends if you want a waterfront or downtown option! If you have a car, we recommend Homewood Suites as parking is cheaper. If you are flying to Oakland airport or SFO and won't be renting a car, we recommend the Marriott Downtown as it is right off the 12th Street Oakland BART line stop which runs from both airports. Please book either hotel by June 6th to receive the discounted group rate.
There is limited street parking near the venue. We recommend taking Uber/Lyft if possible. PUBLIC FREE LOT - Past the front entrance of Nido’s Backyard and to the right (across the street) MARKET GARAGE – 255 2ND STREET AT HARRISON. Open 24 hours (Conveniently located next to Amtrak Station) BROADWAY & EMBARCADERO WEST – 98 BROADWAY. Underground garage located below Plank Restaurant- Entrances at both Franklin/ Embarcadero and Broadway/ Embarcadero. WASHINGTON GARAGE - 101 WASHINGTON STREET. Please remember do not leave any valuables or anything visible in your car if you park!
On Friday July 7th from 7-11 PM, we rented out the back patio of Aloha Club, one of our favorite Oakland dive bars, located at 952 Fruitvale Ave, Oakland, CA 94601- one block from Fruitvale BART station. We put down a deposit so for the first 40 people, their first drink is on us! There's food onsite for purchase and nearby taco trucks. Parking is available at Fruitvale BART station one block away. We would love to see you if you want to stop by, so come say hi and mingle with all of our favorite people!
