In the summer of 2024 I found a new passion in country line dancing and would attend Big Whisky Saloon dancing lessons every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. On August 28th, I had a strange feeling (which I now recognize as a fulfilled promise from God) that I would meet somebody significant that coming Friday. I wrote a note to myself in my Notes app, just in case it were to come true. That Friday, August 30th, 2024, I was standing by the bar rail at Big Whisky Saloon watching the dances when the most handsome cowboy in the room walked up to me and asked me to dance. I warned him that I was just still learning to dance and that I did not really know how, but he assured me - "Don't worry, that's what the lead is for!" After our dance, I offered to buy him a PBR and we talked out on the back patio of the bar for the rest of the night. I joke that Aleyn asked me to dance and then never stopped asking me to dance. I was not necessarily looking for a relationship at the time, but God had greater plans for us. Aleyn faithfully pursued me and never once made me question his feelings for me. When Aleyn first asked me to dance, it was like stepping into the kind of moment I had only ever seen in movies and TV. Our relationship truly is the fairytale love story every little girl dreams of.
