What COVID-19 precautions are in place for this event?

Answer

Our wedding is going forward as planned, with masks optional. We trust that you will make the safest decision for yourself and others. There are a number of nearby locations that offer COVID-19 testing. We strongly recommend that you take advantage of these options, and adhere to state / local regulations. If you are feeling unwell, have been in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19, or received a negative COVID-19 test, we respectfully ask that you attend virtually. If weather permits, our ceremony will be held outdoors, with our dinner being held indoors. All events will be held onsite, with the ability to be indoors or outdoors. Our venue is not able to accommodate social distancing. We are expecting 160-180 people to attend. Is the Venue ADA-Accessible?

Answer

Yes! There is an ADA lift available in the indoor reception area to bring guests smoothly between the top and bottom floors. Indoor, outdoor, and parking areas are connected by paved walkways, with the option for guests to be dropped off directly at the ceremony location. When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please let us know what celebrations you plan to attend and provide any of your additional details on our RSVP Page by Saturday, October 9th. That way, we can be ready for you!

How can I RSVP?

Answer

We would prefer you mail your RSVP card back to us as soon as you know if you'll be able to attend! You may also RSVP on our site via the "RSVP" tab. If you must RSVP another way, feel free to call us at 847-436-2883 and we can take care of the rest.

What time should I arrive?

If you'll be attending our ceremony, we recommend arriving up to 30 minutes early for a good parking spot and seat! You're welcome to attend as many or few events as you'd like.

Is parking available near the ceremony and reception venues?

Answer

Yes, there are 73 spaces in the main parking lot, as well as 3 handicap spaces in the house circle drive. Given that we're expecting 160+ guests, carpooling is suggested and appreciated.

Will the ceremony be taking place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

November weather in Wisconsin can be unpredictable, so our ceremony location will adapt to the day-of conditions. If we must move the festivities out of the elements, all our guests can join us inside the heated, ADA-accessible main barn.

No. Nuh-uh. We will get fined if you do, and you will pay for it. There will be an open bar, though. Don't worry :)

You can smoke Wisconsin-legal substances and dispose of butts in Halverson House's designated smoking area. We will get fined if you don't, and you will pay for it.

How can I safely leave the reception?

We strongly suggest arranging a designated driver if you will be parking at the venue and enjoying our reception. If you're unable to do so, Uber & Lyft services are also available.
