Cumberland Gap Wilderness Road Campground

Wilderness Road Campground is just minutes from Cumberland Gap with wooded sites, water fill stations on every loop, and clean bathhouses. It’s great for smaller RVs, but be sure to check site lengths before booking to ensure a good fit for your setup. Sites are available to book up to 6 months in advance.

Cumberland Gap is about 1 hr 15 min north of Knoxville’s McGhee Tyson Airport (TYS) -the closest major airport- and 2 hrs south of Lexington’s Blue Grass Airport (LEX). For those flying in, we recommend renting a car at the airport for the most flexibility during your stay. The drive is scenic and straightforward, taking you through the rolling hills of Tennessee to historic Cumberland Gap.
