This is where our wedding weekend will be held. Rated the #1 resort in Mexico by Travel and Leisure magazine - The Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal is a stunning sea-side resort where every room has a private, heated plunge pool with an ocean view. We have a room block at the Waldorf with discounted rates available from Thursday to Saturday night. Additionally, these rates are extendable three days before and after our wedding weekend, if you would like to stay and enjoy Los Cabos longer. If your preferred room type is not available, please let us know and we can contact the hotel for additional discounted options. Ocean View King Room - $899 per night base rate, $3647 total for 3 nights vs. $6117 normal rate Deluxe Two Queen Room - $999 per night base rate, $4052 total for 3 nights vs. $7177 normal rate Two Bedroom Ocean View Villa - $1650 per night base rate, $6689 total for 3 nights vs. $12858 normal rate Wedding Block room rates include: Free Daily Breakfast (Really great handmade tortillas, pastries, and custom omelettes made to order) Daily Afternoon Beer, Chips, and Guac delivered to your room - Perfect for the plunge pool In-room Mini Fridge with Unlimited Bottled Water, Juice, Soda, Fruit In-room Nespresso Coffee Maker In order to assign individuals to specific rooms, room reservations will be required. Reservations Department hours are: Monday Friday 8:00am 7:00pm; Saturday Sunday 9:00am 5:00pm (local Cabo San Lucas time). You will need to provide the dates of the group and reference the Alexis Long & William Burhenn Wedding. Credit Card information is required at the time of booking to process a deposit of two (2) nights plus 19% tax and 15% service fee. The hotel must receive all reservations by Tuesday, October 10, 2023.
Flight
The Los Cabos airport (SJD) features daily flights from many cities across the US and Mexico, and is serviced by all major US airlines. Delta features multiple flights per day direct from Atlanta to SJD. If you are coming in on Thursday, please arrive early enough to navigate airport immigration, customs, and the drive from airport to the resort ahead of the Sunset Dinner Cruise. Expect one hour in the airport and one hour for the transfer to Cabo San Lucas.
Travel Note
Our recommended transfer company to and from the Airport in Los Cabos. They have great rates and the drivers are very friendly and courteous. We'll be negotiating with them on a discounted rate for wedding guests - more info to come! You can also arrange airport transfers via the concierge at the Waldorf if you're staying on the resort. They will contact you a few weeks before your arrival.
Travel Note
Overall, travel to Cabo San Lucas is very safe, but as with any trip abroad its smart to be aware of your surroundings and to make good choices. Millions of people travel to Cabo San Lucas every year with very few serious incidents. The resort is fully secured with a gate and security, and on the streets of Cabo there are lots of police and plenty of other tourists. The US State Department tracks safety in Mexico at a state level. The states of Quintana Roo (Cancun, Tulum) and Baja California Sur (Cabo San Lucas, San Jose del Cabo) are at Level 2, indicating that visitors should exercise increased caution.
