While at the Savannah College of Arts and Design (SCAD), Travis met Alexis’s best friend, Tori Rust (the Maid of Honor), in a Greek Tragedy class, of all places. Tori needed models for a Scooby-Doo photography project she was working on and recruited the two to help out. Alexis as Daphne and Travis as Velma (of course!) The group met up at SCAD's Oglethorpe House that evening to head to the shoot and, from the moment they spoke, there were instant sparks! Through college, Covid, two temperamental cats, and everything in between, they made it here! And if you’re reading this, it means they’re so excited to celebrate it with you!

For their 5 year anniversary, Travis surprised Alexis with a trip to Disney World, her home away from home! The evening started with a rooftop dinner at Topolino’s Terrace followed by a surprise fireworks cruise. The boat came to a stop right in front of the castle and, just as the Magic Kingdom fireworks began to light up the night sky, Travis got down on one knee. Of course, Alexis said yes! After the show, they were taken back to the Grand Floridian, where Alexis’s parents and Tori were waiting to celebrate! And the next time they see that place it will be their wedding day!
