Alexis and Telly met through mutual friends at the Dixie Chicken in College Station. They had an incredibly fun time getting to know each other and finished the night off dancing at the local two stepping club. She told him, "I'm going skydiving tomorrow... care to join me?" and at first he was hesitant. Was he really going to join this girl he had just met and jump out of a perfectly good airplane? The next morning rolls around and Alexis asked again, "I'm going skydiving now... Care to join me?". Telly gave her a smile and said "Sure, I've always wanted to do that." They drove from College Station to Rosharon and geared up. Telly was preparing for a tandem dive while Alexis was working with her instructor- trying to gain the confidence to jump out on her own. She had done it before, but the last attempt she had resulted in her coming back down in the plane. This time she was going to do it! They get into the airplane, and mentally prepare. They gain altitude and then at some point... the door in the plane opens. The light next to it then goes from red to green. Everything moved so fast! Telly and his instructor get to the door and Telly basically leaps out of the plane. The smile on his face as he was jumping at 15,000 feet was from ear to ear! Alexis and her instructor were the last to jump. She was nervous. The plane makes a second loop around before she takes a deep breath and followed her date out of the plane. She landed about a mile away from the landing area - the wind had really picked up and was rescued and taken back to the drop zone in a four wheeler where she was reunited with Telly and shared an adrenaline fueled kiss. Since the first date they had been falling for each other and the rest is a romantic adventure.
