Maid of Honor
My best friend since diapers!! Even after thirteen years of elementary and high school together, we've remained so close! We have been everywhere and done everything together since we could walk and talk. There's been endless sleepovers over the years, begging our parents to drive us to and from until we were able to drive ourselves. We spent hours in the car traveling to and from ski trips growing up and had a large friend vacay at Disney World. After high school we went our separate ways to college, but still had only an hour in between us so we made sure to live up the college life visiting each other as often as we could! We have just about 25 years of friendship under our belt, and a lifetime more to go!

I met Ellen in nursing school where we quickly became the best of friends from all the late night studying, early morning exams, and tons of yoga to unwind. We ended up having the majority of our clinicals together, so on top of learning along side each other, we were able to form a friendship too! The best part about Ellen was her cluelessness of "farm life", as she comes from the suburbs of Minneapolis. After coming home with me for a night during college, she was quickly given the run down of farm equipment, shown the open fields and endless pasture land for the cows and horses, and even got up on a horse bareback! She was amazed and in awe! Her now husband, Ben, was pretty amazed at what she learned. Ellen also learned what a "shelterbelt" was and tried to stump Ben on that question, in which he already knew LOL. Ellen's always been a go-getter and definitely the more adventurous one out of the two of us!

I am lucky enough to gain this lovely human being as a sister. From having 0 sisters all my life, this marriage gives me 5 sisters-in-law, yikes! ;) Beth has been my hairdresser pretty much the whole time I've known her, so I've lucked out on some good self care services. I even drive far and wide just to get back in her chair, she's that good!! Beth is always up for an adventure and knows how to have a good time. I was able to tag along with the Schmeets family to Washington state one spring to visit the oldest sister Kellie and her family. And then visited Kellie again after her family moved to Utah more recently. Both times Beth was there, in which she made all our outdoor activities worth the enduring treks! It's very common to have a stomach ache and sore cheeks after being around her as she's quite the comedian. NEVER a dull moment, that's for sure.

Emily and I met during our sophomore year of high school basketball. Funny story - our teams were playing each other and she tripped me during the game, AND got away with it.... Our friendship started on a high note LOL. But, low and behold, our freshman year of college at UND we ended up in the same dorm and our friendship continued from there. We ended up then living together the last 3 years of college which meant lots of late nights talking, endless Target trips, and of course finding all the things to do in Grand Forks, ND. It seemed as though shopping and roller blading were our favorite activities. Following college, I moved away to Wyoming, so she decided to one up me and move to BOSTON!! We went from living together to now living more than 2,000 miles away from each other. Traveling to visit Boston is in my near future, for sure!

Shan is the sister I always wanted. Being the closest in age cousin to me, we grew up doing everything together as often as we got to be around each other. All the family gatherings for holidays and special events, the weekends at the lake tubing, fishing, and sun tanning, hanging out on the farm chasing each other around on 4-wheelers and go-carts with air soft guns, riding horse, and then finally joining Shannon in Grand Forks for college so we could see each other way more often! Now in today's day, Shan and her fiancé, Josh, have a golden retriever just like Josh and I, so they have been able to visit Wyoming a few times for family play dates, everyone wins!! I have always looked up to Shan and learned so much from her. Our memories are endless!

Devyn had the pleasure of meeting me through work. I moved to Wyoming and started at the Cancer Center as a nurse in Gillette where I knew no one at the time. Well, Devyn was kind enough to befriend me, which she probably regretted soon after ;) The two of us quickly hit it off and started doing everything together even outside of work, while our boys were forced to also hang out and become friends LOL. We've made trips to Denver for lots of shopping, and hockey games, as well as Devyn and her husband Caleb making the trek to North Dakota a couple times to hang out with our NoDak families and friends.
