Things To Do

One of the main reasons we chose to have a destination wedding was so that everyone can make a vacation out of this! I think we all deserve it after Covid! Also, we love traveling and we love to party (especially with our family and friends), so why not combine the two? There are so many things to see and do in Puerto Rico, and we've listed a few favorites for you to check out. Enjoy!

El Yunque Rainforest

Río Grande 00745, Puerto Rico

El Yunque is the only tropical rainforest in the U.S. National Forest Service. Our wedding venue is right outside this magical rainforest so, technically you'll be visiting the rainforest already, but we recommend hiking it too! You can hike through multiple trails, bathe in the natural pools underneath the waterfalls, take lots of beautiful pictures, enjoy & relax. Make sure you wear the correct footwear (with some grip) as some of the trails can get a bit slippery.

Toro Verde Adventure Park

State Route 155, Orocovis, Orocovis 00720, Puerto Rico
, +1 787-867-7100

ZipLining!! For the more adventurous, PR has the longest zip line in the world! At 7,590 feet long, the zipline at Toro Verde Adventure Park in Orocovis, Puerto Rico has been confirmed as the longest zipline by the Guinness World Records. We dare you!

Bioluminescent Bay

Bioluminescent Bay Tours. Puerto Rico is home to 3 Bioluminescent Bays! (in Vieques, Fajardo and Lajas). View the link below to learn more about these rare ecosystems and book a tour during your stay. We've never been to one, but it is on our bucket list as we've heard amazing things!

Viejo San Juan

San Juan, San Juan, Puerto Rico

When traveling to PR, visiting the beautiful & historic Old San Juan is a must. There are some good bars & restaurants within walking distance. While you're there, visit the national historic military site of El Morro, the 2nd fort built on the island…it’s a beauty. You can also find lots of souvenir shops in Old San Juan. Enjoy!

Campamento Piñones

Carolina, Loíza, Puerto Rico

Whenever I travel to PR, I stop at Pinones at least once. It's right on the beach near the airport (SJU) and it consists of kiosks with the best homemade Puerto Rican food/drinks. If you're looking for some good empanadas, alcapurrias, mofongos, mojitos or pina coladas with a relaxed, beach vibe, this is your spot!

Ramonita's Tacos

Puerto Rico 1, Cayey, Cayey 00736, Puerto Rico
, +1 787-738-0888

I have to mention this outdoor, authentic, low-key taco spot because I can't go to PR and NOT have the tacos from here…I just can't. They are not your average tacos as they have some potato in them, but just trust us...go and order some chicken tacos with a Medalla or two...you're welcome! :) Since the pandemic, you will have to call to place an order to go or to reserve a table if you want to sit and eat there.
