One of Alexis' favorite places, this was once the family home of Mabel and Leslie Cheek. It is an extraordinary 1930s estate, with its Georgian mansion and 55 acres of cultivated gardens and expansive vistas, today serves the public as a botanic garden, woodland sculpture trail, and art museum. Tickets can be pretty pricey, but we promise that it is well worth it!
If you love beer, we love this brewery and it is super close too! There are TONS of other great breweries around town too! Alexis recommends their Peanut Butter Milk Stout, if that floats your boat!
They have a winery on their grounds and it is absoleutly stunning to walk around and look at! Tickets may be kind of pricey, as well. Fun Fact: Jerad actually proposed here!
An annual event, it may be fun to hit up Saturday morning! The Celebrate Nashville Cultural Festival provides an opportunity for intercultural dialogue through a Nashville festival experience and features a variety of dance and musical performances on different stages, food vendors offering authentic and exotic tastes from around the world, hands-on children’s activities, an area just for teens, a marketplace, and so much more.
A wonderfully beautiful indoor hotel with gardens and fountains galore, it is fun to just walk around, marvel, and people watch! Plus it is free! Pro tip: Avoid the exorbitant parking fee by parking at the back of Opry Mills Mall next door and walking a couple minutes to the resort’s Cascades Lobby!
