FAQs

The Wedding Website of Alexis Montoya and Jacob Martinez
We cannot wait to celebrate with you! Below are some common questions when it comes to weddings, but if you can't find an answer to any questions you have, please feel free to reach out to us at (505)901-3651 :)
Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We want to see our guests in their Sunday (or Saturday) bests! Our dress code is formal, for the ladies, think long gown or elegant cocktail dress. Gentlemen are encouraged to wear a suit and tie or tuxedo. Please avoid wearing any white or light colors that appear white in photographs.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

If your invitation says “and guest,” then absolutely! If not, we can’t wait to celebrate with just you — you’re on our VIP list.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your little ones, but this will be an adults-only evening. Consider it a well-deserved night out — we’ll supply the champagne!

Question

Where are the ceremony and reception?

Answer

The ceremony will take place at the beautiful and historic Santuario de Chimayo in Chimayo, New Mexico, followed by a reception at La Fonda on the Plaza in Santa Fe, NM — a short and scenic drive away. Both spots offer stunning views.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please plan to arrive 20–30 minutes before the ceremony begins. You’ll want time to find parking, take in the beautiful church, and get settled before we say “I do.”

Question

What’s the weather like in July?

Answer

Warm and sunny! Expect the day to be hot, cooling off in the evening. We recommend breathable fabrics and maybe a light wrap or blazer for after sunset.

Question

Where should I park for the reception?

Answer

While parking in the Santa Fe Plaza can be a bit complicated, we will have valet parking at La Fonda!

Question

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

Please let us know when you RSVP — our caterer will make sure everyone has something delicious to enjoy.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We’re having an unplugged ceremony — no phones, just hearts and happy tears. After we say “I do,” feel free to take photos and share them with us!

Question

What time does the party end?

Answer

The celebration will wrap up at midnight, but your memory of the groom's goofy dance moves will last forever, I'm sure ;)
