We're Getting Married!!

Hunter and I were friends during our Discipleship Training School at YWAM Louisville. Our attractions towards each other began at the end of that first school, but we didn't know the other's interest. During our second school with YWAM we both spent time praying about whether pursuing a relationship was something the Lord wanted. The last week of that school Hunter asked me if we could talk. I was super surprised by this and incredibly nervous. During that conversation, we both shared about how we had an interest in the other and decided to then take time separately to seek that Lord as to whether starting a dating relationship was what He had for us. The answer was yes and our journey began! Our first four months were long distance with a few opportunities to spend time together. This was a huge time of growth! We then both joined staff with YWAM Louisville in January of 2019. It has been a blast journeying this season together. Alright, fast forward to when things began to get more serious. I went ring exploring with a friend and he asked my parents if he could marry me. I slightly anticipated him proposing as my family was coming to Louisville the first weekend of November. We had planned to do some family photos that weekend so that Saturday we all got ready and headed to a private area. Before I knew it, it was happening. OH MY GOODNESS. I got so nervous. He was on one knee, asking me to be by his side for the rest of our lives, holding the exact ring I wanted. I cried, said yes, hugged him, kissed him, and “WOW”ed for a long time. We took more pictures and the rest of my family came over to hug me. How special! It was perfect. We have since begun to plan for our big day. We want this season to be fun and low stress. Also, just a little bit about us. 97% of our dates/hangouts are us literally just sitting and talking. We LOVE it. We otherwise spend time at the grocery store or at a park hammocking.
