Alexis and Decklyn met on Tinder, and right away they knew this was something special. They went on their first date September 8, 2023 at Market Café in Wheeling, WV. Decklyn made her cry laughing for an hour straight. After a month of more than weekly dates, Decklyn asked her to be his girlfriend over text on September 25th. Alexis said no. He asked again on September 30th and she finally said yes.

Decklyn and Alexis went on their first big trip in July of 2024 -- to Erie, PA! Alexis became obsessed with seaglass... and Erie. Decklyn was just glad to be near water again. They drove around Presque Isle nearly 10 times while there for the weekend because they loved it so much.

Decklyn and Alexis visited Erie again in March 2026. They visited all of the beaches on Presque Isle three times during their weekend trip, and got coffee at The Bean twice. He waited to propose until the very last day after they checked out of their AirBnB and of course, she said yes the first time he asked.
