Cooper and Alexis met working together at Trudy's in Austin, TX. Alexis had just moved to Austin, and the first time she saw Cooper, she knew he was going to be trouble. After a few months of both of them being too shy to make the first move, Alexis came back from vacation ready to ask him out. Little did she know, Cooper had left Trudy's in the week she was away. With the help of friends, they were able to connect for their first date on August 31, 2015. From that moment on, they've been attached at the hip.

Cooper took Alexis completely by surprise. After a few failed attempts, carrying the ring to San Antonio and back to Austin, Cooper planned a wonderful date night in downtown Austin. He called the restaurant and got them the best table in the house with a wonderful view of downtown. Planning to propose over dessert, Alexis almost foiled his plan again, saying, "We're not having dessert - you're taking me to Amy's!" Alexis looked out the window, and when she turned back, he surprised her with the most beautiful ring sitting on the table. She wasn't sure this was really happening until he said, "I wanted to ask you if you would be my wife." And, she, of course said, "YES!"
