"We are getting married!"

Our story begins in 2007. Almost 18 years ago. We met at Woodard Jr. High. Clarissa was a cheerleader and Alexis played soccer. We were just kids in the eighth grade. We believe we were destined to meet because our schedules aligned to have every class together. We walked to class together, sat next to each other and passed notes to one another. Our friendship quickly grew to love & we became highschool sweethearts. After graduating high schools in 2012, Alexis attended Arizona Western College & Clarissa attended the Paul Mitchell school of cosmetology. Clarissa finished cosmetology school in 2013 and started working her first job as a hairstylist in Yuma,Az. Alexis moved to Tempe, Az and attended Arizona State University in 2014. Alexis started his career and stayed in Tempe, Az. We knew we wanted to be together but our lives were in different places. We did whatever we could to see each as much as possible. We took turns making the 3 hour drives every weekend. We spent our nights in Old town Scottsdale and Tempe going out with friends. We traveled to many places together, attending music festivals like EDC & Coachella. We visited our favorite places in Mexico and took as any spontaneous trips as possible. We were just young adults enjoying or 20s. In 2020 Clarissa decided to work independently and knew her plans were to stay in Yuma. Alexis started working remotely from home which gave him the opportunity to relocate to Yuma. Everything fell into place. In February 2021 we broke ground to build our very first home together & finally moved in together in August 2021. In July 2024 Alexis finally got down on one knee and popped the question. We believe timing is everything and even though we have been together so long its what makes this marriage so special. It has been an amazing 17 years and we can't wait to continue our forever. We will finally be Mr. & Mrs. Romero. Thank you to our friends & family that have been part of our journey & watched us grow from young kids to grown adults.
