Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Alexis Amezquita and Christopher Porter
Scottsdale has so much to offer from food to shopping, golf to hiking. If you're staying for more than a few days, we HIGHLY recommend renting a car and taking a day trip up to Sedona if you can. Alexis also has a long list of restaurant recommendations for the Phoenix/Scottsdale area so feel free to text her before your trip.

Old Town Scottsdale

Scottsdale, AZ 85251

Old Town Scottsdale is literally steps away from The Saguaro Hotel and is filled with so many shops that are uniquely Scottsdale. There are also lots of restaurants and bars in the area.

McCormick Ranch Golf Club

7505 East McCormick Parkway, Scottsdale, AZ 85258

There are plenty of great golf courses throughout Scottsdale, but if you'd like a sneak peek at our venue, this is the place to go.

Topgolf

9500 Talking Stick Way, Scottsdale, AZ 85256

If you're a more casual golfer (and like good food and drinks), Topgolf is a great activity for all ages!

Talking Stick Casino

9800 Talking Stick Way, Scottsdale, AZ 85256
, (480) 850-7777

For those who like to gamble, Talking Stick Resort and is about 10 minutes from The Saguaro. It's also located right next to Topgolf.

Hiking

Scottsdale, AZ

If you're staying for a few days, you have to hike one of Phoenix/Scottsdale's many trails. Camelback Mountain is the most famous, and the back drop for our big day. Other popular hikes are Piestewa Peak, Papago Mountain and South Mountain. Or if you feel like taking a drive, you can hike the Superstition Mountains (about 45 minutes away), which is where we took our engagement pictures. Be sure to bring lots of water no matter where you go!

Entertainment District

Scottsdale, AZ 85251

If you've heard Scottsdale referred to as "Scotts-Vegas" this is the area they were talking about. Alexis' favorite bar is Bevvy because they play 90s and early 2000s music. El Hefe and Whiskey Row are also fun options.

Diego Pops

4338 North Scottsdale Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85251
, (480) 970-1007

You can't come to Arizona and not have tacos. This place is one of Alexis' favorites - and is very Instagram-friendly :)

The Vig McCormick Ranch

7345 North Vía Paseo Del Sur, Scottsdale, AZ 85258

Christopher's favorite restaurant in Scottsdale. This is a great place for weekend brunch!

Postino

4821 N Scottsdale Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85251

Bruschetta boards and wine....do we need to say more?

Sugar Bowl

4005 North Scottsdale Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85251
, (480) 946-0051

The Sugar Bowl is the cutest, and one of the oldest, Scottsdale institutions. Stop by for ice cream, shakes...and more really cute pics for Instagram.

For all the days along the way
