Countless late hours in the lab, inhaling way too much lead while soldering, and three transformers later, nothing happened. Once we needed to escape the lab and test our experiment, we started making trips down to Galveston. We would drive down and get to know each other on a deeper level and spent hours on the beach at night. Christian tried pointing out the constellations to me and I would talk about how the ocean is just as interesting as space. We looked like psychopaths as we stood feet apart, one of us holding up an embroidery circle while the other was near a mystery brown box, but we kept going back to test. We spent hours on rocks getting splashed by the ocean as we opened up and became close friends. The last trip was February 3rd and after returning from Galveston we ended up at Allen Parkway, and that was our first kiss and the start of it all.
