Old Wethersfield
Old Wethersfield (the small town where the venue is located!) is a beautiful New England historic town. The town has great food, an old country store, the oldest heirloom seeds in U.S., and lots of little shops and museums! The town has coffee shops, Italian gelato, and some very cool places to walk around (and is about 1/2 mile long)! There is a super dive-y dive bar (Old Town Cafe) right beside the venue, which historically people go visit post wedding! There are also a few BNBs in the town that would be fun to stay at for the wedding!
Parkville Market
Great place to get some food! Parkville has a variety of cuisines and often has functions during the weekends (live music, markets). In fact...the weekend of August 2nd, they are having 'fiesta vibes and 10$ margs.' Sounds incredible. The layout is a bit similar to Faneuil Hall in Boston, but with a more Hartford feel to it (more diverse, less uppity).
