In Dr. Jorstad's Introduction to Molecular and Cellular Biology course, a tall and knowledgeable TA met a preceptor with green hair. With 4 red fabric seats between them, friendship rapidly grew into more over the course of a semester.
Brittney pulled up to the Park house Alexis shared with her sister like a Disney prince on a magic carpet. The question “Do you trust me?” led to an evening of homemade pasta and meatballs in a mansion, two strange exotic dogs, a gila monster, singing over wine, a dead mouse floating in a pool, and a first kiss. Brittney would go on to forget the calendar date of the event, leading to many years of teasing.
Opals, sparkle, and nature; Brittney had a task of finding the perfect ring to propose with. She picked a beautiful technicolor Australian Boulder Opal from the Gem & Mineral Show, and searched for a creator that could incorporate every aspect. And it came out perfect. Many thanks to Altana Marie for crafting such a stunning token.
After months of secret planning, Brittney took Alexis to the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. There she surprised her with a proposal at the top of Cat Canyon, with a golden post-monsoon sky as a backdrop. Some claim that Alexis shouted a "No!" in pure shock, before adamantly accepting the sweet proposal.
