We're Getting Married!

Alex and Alexis first met in 2020 during the midst of the pandemic in the most romantic way possible – on the internet. After an amazing first date that almost never happened (Big thanks to Alex’s parents for postponing the family Hawaii trip!), they knew they had to go on a second. While most couples go on their second date to a bar or a movie, Alex and Alexis thought that Cancun sounded a little better. After a week of drinking Mai Tais and Pina Coladas on a Mexican beach, our whirlwind journey officially began. In the time since then, we’ve moved across the country from LA to DC, skied the Swiss Alps, visited Portuguese castles, taken a helicopter tour of Mount Rushmore, hiked up an Alaskan Glacier, and so much more. After a year and a half of dating and both knowing it would end in marriage, Alex wanted to surprise Alexis with the proposal (no easy task if you know Alexis). But after a ton of “runs” where Alex scouted locations, the help of some friends who arranged a fake picnic on the Washington DC mall, and a well-timed basketball game (good thing Alexis is a big Sixers fan now!), Alex was able to pull of the surprise! We’re so excited to take the next step in our relationship and celebrate the start of our new life together while in the presence of our closest friends and family!
