We met at the Valler River Mall on Black Friday (technically late Thanksgiving night 2018). My best friend (Claire, now maid of honor) and I (Lexi) were working seasonal jobs at the mall. Van was at the mall with a group of friends (pretty much all the now groomsmen) and I happened to know one of them...we were saying hi to each other when Van came over, stepped right in front of me, stuck out his hand, and said "Hi I'm Evander.". Van then proceeded to slide into my DM's the same night (gross...can't believe that worked). We talked back and forth for a few weeks, went on a first date, and started officially dating December 12, 2018. Met: 11/22/2018 Started dating: 12/12/2018 Moved into our first appartment: 04/17/2021 Moved into a house with our two best friends: 07/31/2022 Engaged: 07/31/2023

We got engaged on July 31st 2023 at Triangle Lake.
