Lex Said Yes Sir

We met initially at Florida State University (FSU) in Tallahassee, Florida in the fall of 2019. Alexea and Sir'Darius were both freshman that lived down the hall from each other on the first floor at Wildwood North. Alexea lived in Room 2129. Sir'Darius lived in Room 2124. Also, whenever Sir'Darius used to walk by the dorm's kitchen, and Alexea was cooking, he always stopped by to say, "Hey, that smells really good" (fastest way to a man's heart, right?). There were many times when they would see each other in the hallways or around campus, but it was never more than a brief conversation. As time went on, Alexea and Sir'Darius continued through their freshman year. Sir'Darius transferred to Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) in Spring 2020. Alexea continued at Florida State University. A global pandemic occurred, causing them to both leave Tallahassee, Florida, and return to their respective hometowns (Fort Walton Beach, Florida, and Fort Lauderdale, Florida, approximately 10 hours distance). They followed each other on Twitter, but other than that, they never believed their paths would cross once again. Flash forward to July 2020, Alexea's Twitter account got hacked and sent an ad to everybody in her followers list to buy Ray-Bans. Sir'Darius was the only person to respond. Alexea was confused because he certainly must have known it was a hack and did not actually think she was selling Ray-Bans. However, Alexea chose to respond to him, and the rest was history. Alexea and Sir'Darius both planned to return to Tallahassee, Florida, in August 2020. Their first date was September 13, 2020 (Alexea's 19th birthday). Sir'Darius officially asked Alexea to be his girlfriend on October 4, 2020, during a picnic at Cascades Park in Tallahassee, Florida. Four and a half years later, Sir'Darius popped the question and asked Alexea to marry him on May 24, 2025, in Jacksonville, Florida. Ever since 'Lex said Yes Sir', they have been excited to start the next chapter of their life together.
