What is the ceremony dress code?

Answer

Unlike this bird, think Hamptons chic for the ceremony - breezy comfortable fabrics for warm weather and cute but not formal attire. For women, think linen and cotton dresses that are tea or cocktail length and any shoes (the ground ranges from brick to hard packed gravel, so pick whatever is comfy and danceable). For men, think light colored and breezy fabrics suits or blazers with no tie. That's right, no ties please. If you bring a tie, Zoe will throw it into the ocean. For the sake of the turtles, no ties please.

What else should I pack?

Answer

While the temperature is at its coolest, its still very warm! Expect mid-80s during the day, to mid-70s at night. This will feel like a beach vacation - we recommend bringing bathing suits, workout outfits (beach yoga, hiking, volleyball), as well as your usual lightweight but nice clothing for day/evenings. Bug spray and sunscreen can be bought onsite, and beach towels are provided by the hotel. For Friday night, women think sundresses & sandals and men think shorts or linen pants with a nice shirt. If you are like Zoe and Alex, bring sunscreen. Lots and lots of sunscreen.

How do I get to the hotel?

Please see travel page for recommended airport (LIR) and shuttle services. The town we are staying in is a walking friendly town, but you can rent a car if you choose. We would recommend renting a car if you plan to stay in Costa Rica for a longer vacation. If you choose to rent a car, drive slow as a sloth - its a bumpy adventure in :)

What meals are included?

Answer

A McHawtof breakfast at the hotel every morning is included, and we will be covering Friday & Saturday dinners. We will have snacks Saturday afternoon but you are on your own if you want a full lunch. There are plenty of restaurants in town - our favorite is Pots & Bowls. Who doesn't like an açaí bowl on the beach? Only crazy people.

Do I get a plus one?

Answer

Unless explicitly invited, unfortunately no. This is an intimate wedding, so we appreciate your understanding.

Are children allowed?

Answer

No, children are not allowed. We want this to feel like a retreat through and through, so while we love your children, we kindly ask you to arrange a babysitter.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

Vegetarian/vegan, dairy free, gluten free and peanut free options will be available without special requests, so everyone can easily snack to their heart's content.
