FAQs

The Wedding Website of Victoria Liefert and Alex Michel
If your question isn’t listed, send it our way! After all, if you’re wondering, someone else probably is too. Let’s make sure no one’s left guessing!
Question

Is this a traditional wedding?

Answer

No, we wanted our wedding to feel like us. A formal wedding never quite fit, so we took all our favorite parts of a wedding and built our own celebration. We’re skipping the ceremony and traditional reception. This feels more relaxed, personal, and fun — the perfect way to celebrate with the people we love most.

Question

What should I expect?

Answer

We’re keeping things simple — we’ll be saying “I do” privately at the courthouse, and then celebrating with a laid-back house party by the beach! Think good food, drinks, music, and time to hang out together. No formal traditions, just a night to celebrate love and have fun!

Question

Is there a Welcome Party?

Answer

Yes! We can’t wait to welcome you to Jax. It will be held in the Pete’s Bar event space from 7:30PM—10PM. There is a separate entrance and we will have signage out front. You can find more details under the Schedule tab.

Question

What is the drink/food situation?

Answer

Welcome Party — There will be beer, wine, seltzers, and mixed drinks (on us). We’ll also have bite-sized subs from Angie’s Subs as a late-night snack, so we recommend grabbing dinner beforehand. The Wedding Party — We’ll have beer, wine, and seltzers available. The Little Pizza Truck will serve wood-fired pizza and cannolis.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by April 10th so we can finalize our guest count. Any early responses are greatly appreciated.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Welcome Party — Casual Attire: Anything goes, from sundresses and sandals to nice jeans and a polished tee. The Wedding Party — Coastal Chic: Wear linen pants, short-sleeved button downs, maxi dresses, and sandals. For outfit inspiration, check out the Dress Code tab!

Question

Is there parking?

Answer

Welcome Party — We suggest using Uber or Lyft for transportation. There is paid parking available near the bar, as well as limited free parking on 3rd Street. The Wedding Party — Again, we recommend using Uber or Lyft, as parking is limited. There is some parking available across from the house along A1A, and if you do plan to drive, we kindly ask that you carpool if possible.

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Your invitation will indicate if you have a plus one. However, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us with any questions or concerns!

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our celebration will be an adults-only (21+) event.

Question
