Question

I am coming from out of town. Where should I stay?

Answer

Columbus is full of hotels; but there are two particularly close to the wedding venues. Abrams Hall is located on base and minutes away from both wedding venues. The Marriott is located in downtown Columbus, which is within a 15 minute driving distance to the wedding venues.

What time should I arrive at the wedding ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive and be seated by 3:45 pm to make sure we stay on schedule.

The wedding is located on base at Fort Benning. How do I get on base?

Answer

For those without military identification cards, you will need to email your driver's license number, state of issue, date of birth, and full name to alexandsteve2018@gmail.com. This information will go to the base police. It will allow you to enter the base using only your driver's license. If you do not feel comfortable giving us this information, you can still get on base; however, you will have to go to the visitor's center to the right of the gates and go through the process in person to obtain a base pass. This can take up a lot of time.

Yes.

Will there be dancing?

Answer

The bride and groom love to dance. So, of course! Shine your dancing shoes and be prepared to boogie. 🕺🏻💃🏼

Will there be a cocktail hour?

Answer

Yes. While the wedding party and family members gather for pictures, drinks and appetizers will be served at The Benning Club. Our wedding coordinator will direct you there:)

Will last names be changing after the wedding?

Yes, Alexandra Marie Rees will officially become Alexandra Marie Brower.
