Travel Note
There are many lovely BNB options available in the local vicinity! If you decide to book one of these options, be sure that it is specifically located on the North Fork, as some options that appear nearby on a map may be separated by bodies of water. If you accidentally book a place on the South Fork or in Connecticut, you may end up sleeping on someone's couch.
Hotel
We have a wedding block at Townsend Manor: make sure to mention our names when booking!
Flight
Laguardia and JFK are the closest major airports. MacArthur is closer to the wedding, but really only flies to the southeast.
Train
Taking the train is not convenient and has a very limited schedule to get to the North Fork, but can be done. From Penn Station, take the Ronkonkoma line (be warned, trains to the North Fork do not run all day). From Laguardia, use the free LaGuardia Link Q70 bus from LaGuardia Airport to the Woodside LIRR station (also known as 61st Street – Woodside station). From the Woodside station, board the train towards Hempstead. Transfer at Jamaica for the line towards Ronkonkoma. Transfer at Ronkonkoma for the line east towards Greenport. Depending on where you are staying, you can use the stop at Riverhead, Mattituck, Southold, or Greenport, and should be able to get Uber from any of these stations.
Travel Note
The Hampton Jitney bus is an option to get from the city to the North Fork. The bus does not run directly from the airport, so you will need to get from the airport to the city, then take the bus east.
Travel Note
Uber and Lyft both operate in the area where the wedding will be. They are not, however, reliable options for a ride from the airport to the North Fork
Travel Note
If you are going to be flying in, we recommend renting a car. Cabs are available in the area where the wedding will be, but will not be reliable for getting to/from the airport.
