Question

Where are you getting married?? When?!

Answer

Where: We are tying the knot at UNICO 20 87 in Riviera Maya, Mexico! We hope you love sunshine, margaritas, historical sites and a lovely welcoming environment to celebrate in :) https://www.unicohotelrivieramaya.com/ When: October 31, 2020

Question

Why a destination wedding?

Answer

We feel that we couldn't possibly condense all of the love and celebration between our bicoastal families to just one day or just one coast, so why not make it a vacation for everyone! We are firm believers in doing what you want, where you want and we want you to do the same- join us in celebrating our marriage and then treat the rest of your time as if you were on your own private get-away. Of course we would love to meet up with you after the wedding day too, but there's no pressure!

Question

How do I book my trip?

Answer

We are working with a WONDERFUL travel agent, Ashley Morris of Alpaca Your Bags Travel, and she has built a site for you to RSVP and book your trip: https://www.alpacayourbags.com/alexandriariley.html Password = alpaca You will also find this info under our "Travel" section.

Question

What if I don't have a passport?

Answer

Getting a passport can be a pain, but the great news is that they're valid for 10 years! The U.S. Government strongly suggests allocating at least 6 weeks to get your passport mailed to you. If you have specific questions, we recommend reading the FAQs outlined on the official website: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/apply-renew-passport/faqs.html

Question

What if I cannot attend the wedding?

Answer

That's okay! We both understand that with having a destination wedding or a domestic wedding that not everyone will be able to celebrate with us...on that day. But we are so excited to celebrate with you in a more convenient location afterward!

Question

What is the exchange rate in Mexico? (Peso vs. Dollar)

Answer

The exchange rate at this time is 1 peso = 0.50 dollars. This amount is always fluctuating so definitely check back when closer to travel time! *Note that we are staying at an all-inclusive resort (which means that all food and drinks are included in your hotel cost when you book) and that the U.S. dollar is widely accepted in Mexico. Exchanging dollars for pesos isn't a bad idea, but it is also not absolutely necessary.
