Alex and Rachel both went to Elk Rapids high school, however Alex was *significantly* older and the two had few interactions. However, many of Rachel's friends had crushes on this older football stud. After high school they went their separate ways but reconnected several years later. Alex reached out and insisted on taking Rachel to dinner on a Monday night. Rachel was reluctant to accept the invitation as she was just finishing chemotherapy. After being persuaded by friends, she finally gave in and the two have been inseparable ever since. In five years, they have been through so much but are excited for what the future holds.
