Our love story

Sometimes the best love stories begin long before either person realizes it. Shay and Alexandra first met through a dating app several years ago. From the beginning, conversation came easily. They enjoyed getting to know one another and exploring the possibility of what might be. As they continued talking, one important difference came into focus: their faith. It became clear they were on different journeys, and before their story could really begin, it came to an unexpected end. What neither of them knew at the time was that God wasn’t finished writing their story. Over the next few years, both experienced seasons of growth, challenges, and change. Through those experiences, God continued shaping their hearts and drawing them closer to Him. Years later, Shay found himself wondering what had happened to the woman he had once enjoyed getting to know. He tried to reconnect several times, but the timing never quite worked out. Then, one day, he came across Alexandra on Snapchat. His opening question was simple: “What church do you go to?” It wasn’t the message Alexandra expected to receive from him, but she replied. That one question led to a conversation, which led to a date, which led to something neither of them expected. This time, everything was different. As they got to know each other again, they discovered they now shared the same foundation of faith, the same values, and the same vision for the future. What once seemed unlikely now felt remarkably easy. Looking back, it’s clear they didn’t miss their chance years ago. They simply met before God’s timing. When He brought them back together, they were finally ready for the relationship He had been preparing them for all along. To some, their story may seem fast. To Shay and Alexandra, it feels like coming home. They are incredibly grateful that God gave them a second chance to find each other, and even more grateful that this time, they get to spend the rest of their lives together.
