What is the dress code?

Answer

We're going for a cocktail or semi-formal vibe. Please wear polished attire that lets you move comfortably through an evening of dining, celebration, and dancing. We suggest cocktail dresses, midi or maxi dresses, dress pants, and button-downs.

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

We will have a cash bar available at the venue for guests to purchase their preferred drinks.

Can I bring a plus one?

If you'd like to bring a guest, please reach out to us directly, and we'd be happy to discuss your request.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

The only events are the ceremony and the reception. Please note that our ceremony will have a smaller guest list due to the church's capacity, but we look forward to celebrating with everyone at the reception.

How should I RSVP?

Answer

To RSVP, go to the RSVP page on this website. Please submit your RSVP by July 29, 2026 so we can plan accordingly! Note that there is an RSVP for both the ceremony and the reception.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes for both. The church has extra parking at the park next door if needed. Parking will be available at The Rail Golf Course. We also have a golf cart on hand for guests who need accessibility assistance or prefer not to walk.

What happens if it rains?

Answer

Rain or shine, our celebration will go on! We've arranged for a tent, so we'll stay comfortable and dry while continuing to enjoy the evening together.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Yes, we encourage you to take photos and share them on social media! Please use our wedding hashtag #MeetTheHaucks2026 so we can see all your wonderful pictures.

Why did you choose August 29, 2026?

Answer

While we certainly considered practical factors, we chose August 29, 2026, for a reason that feels deeply personal to us. The date beautifully weaves together elements of both our birthdays, combining parts of Shay’s birthday (8/6) and Alexandra’s birthday (6/29). Alexandra has always had a knack for spotting patterns, and as we’ve reflected on our story, we’ve discovered there are quite a few throughout our journey together. This date felt like the perfect reflection of that.
