The first leg of the journey will be your flight to Greece, Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos" (ATH) If don't plan to head straight to Kythira, once you land in Greece, exit from Terminal 3 Arrivals section where you will be greeted by a long line of yellow taxis ready to take you wherever you'd like! Flight to Kythira There is one airport on the island of Kythira named Kythira Airport Alexandros Onasis (KIT). During summer months, flights depart from Athens to Kythira on a daily basis, often times even twice a day. ****PLEASE NOTE**** If you plan to travel to the island immediately upon arriving in Greece be sure to allot yourself a minimum of an hour and a half to go back through security. There are three airlines which service this route: Aegean Airlines Sky Express The short trip takes less than one hour, and prices range from €60-100 for a one-way ticket. If you plan to rent a car they can have it scheduled for pick upon your arrival.

Manual cars are cheaper in rates but be aware the island has many winding roads and hills so if you are not comfortable with manual, we advise you to get an automatic. All car rentals will be ready for you upon arrival at KIT airport. Be sure to give details of your flight arrival.
