This is one of our favorite spots to hang out on a nice summer night. Enjoy a cocktail while lounging in one of many hammocks, have some ice cream while dipping your toes in the sand, or get something to snack on at one of Philly's favorite food truck vendors while admiring the boats along the Delaware River! There are often local artists and musicians set up in the park as well!
This is one of our favorite spots in the city. Walk all the way down to the edge of the pier to catch a gorgeous sunset over the water, and an awesome backdrop for an iconic Philly photo op! Check out the website to learn about the daily free yoga sessions on the pier!
Besides maybe the Rocky statue, Love Park is known for little else than the giant "LOVE" sculpture where tourists and locals flock to take pictures. I mean, Philly is known as the "City of Brotherly Love" after all! Our favorite part about this spot? Look straight northwest up the parkway to catch a glimpse of the Art Museum, or look across the street (southeast) to see the stunning City Hall!
South Bowl is way more than just a bowling alley. It also boasts pool tables, arcade games, bocce, corn hole, batting cages, a large outdoor bar, and some pretty great food, too. Of all the bowling alleys in Philly, this one is definitely a favorite. (Fun Fact: Alexandra and Kenny are in a winter bowling league together with bridesmaids Melissa and Miranda.)
If you're looking for somewhere to exercise or catch some fresh air, look no further than one of Philly's most popular running trails, Schuylkill River Trail. Here you'll catch a beautiful panoramic view of the Philly skyline. It also offers a dog park, sports areas, and a playground!
Garage is definitely one of the most frequented bars by us, and for good reason. They have one of the most impressive selections of craft beer in the city and one of our favorite competitive pastimes: Skee-Ball! (P.S. There is also a location in Fishtown!)
Check out the sweeping views of Broad Street and the city in one of the trendiest rooftop bars in the city, conveniently located on the rooftop of one of our hotel blocks, The Cambria, and right next door to The Lucy! (As Attico can be a little pricey, Happy Hour is totally the move!)
One of the best brunches in the city, Harp & Crown offers a $28 all-you-can-eat brunch buffet on Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 AM-2:00 PM. Highlights include the "decorate-your-own-donut" station and $5 brunch cocktails. We definitely recommend you make a reservation at least two weeks in advance... and DEFINITELY go hungry.
Kanella Grill frequently finds itself on Philly Mag's "Best 50" list, and for good reason. It's cozy, unpretentious, inexpensive, and DELICIOUS! The best part? It's also BYOB! We recommend ordering the three dips appetizer (changes daily), the gyro, and the falafel sandwich. You'll definitely want to call ahead at least a week in advance to reserve a table. Or, take a stroll southwest through Washington Square Park to Spruce Street and try to get there for opening to get a charming table on the sidewalk.
