Yes! It is required to have a passport when traveling to Costa Rica. You will also need to know the address of where you will be staying and proof of a returning flight to the USA when you go through immigration into Costa Rica.
The national currency of Costa Rica is the colon. Many places accept dollars but it is recommended to have colones for things like taxis or local markets. You can arrange to pick up colones from your local bank or use an ATM here in Costa Rica but there may be bank fees in doing so.
YES! After the ceremony and lunch, we will spend the afternoon together celebrating in the hot springs. Please do not wear your bathing suit to the ceremony. There are lockers and locker rooms you can use to store your change of clothes during the ceremony and change after lunch.
It is HOT in La Fortuna and we want our guests to be comfortable for our outdoor ceremony and lunch. The event is semi-formal so we recommend cocktail attire. Please note there is not a backup area to use in case of rain. Please take this into consideration the day of when planning your outfit. Bring something you are okay with getting wet, in the unlikely case it rains ;).
Once you have confirmed your attendance, you will be assigned a time to take transportation up to the chapel. Please be ready at the meeting point (hotel lobby) at your designated time to ensure all guests make it to the chapel prior to the start of the ceremony!
