Rzeszów
Rzeszów is the closest large city to Olchowa. It’s about a 30 min drive, and you can also get there by bus or train. Downtown Rzeszów is a bustling city great for shopping, and if you head into the old town or “rynek” you’ll be transported back in time and surrounded by small cafés, bars, and charming local shops.
Millenium Hall
If you’re looking to do some shopping while in Europe, Millenium Hall is a great option! It is the largest mall in the region, full of many shops and places to eat
Łańcut Castle
About a 35 minute drive from Olchowa there’s a town named Łancut that’s home to one of the most beautiful castles in Poland. We highly recommend visiting with a tour guide where you’ll get to see the inside of the castle, stables and coach house. There are also beautiful parks and gardens surrounding the property.
Kraków Main Square
When in Poland....old town Kraków is a MUST. It’s about an hour and a half drive (you can also take a bus or train), but we can promise you you won’t find a city anywhere else with this much charm and beauty. This city dates back to the 13th century and has the largest medieval town square in Europe. While here, you can dine and drink in one of the many bars & restaurants in the main square. You can also visit St. Mary’s Basilica, an architectural masterpiece (where every hour on the hour you can see/hear a trumpet signal playing from the tallest tower). Head over to Sukiennice or Cloth Hall for shopping and souvenirs, and finally head down to Wawel Castle, one of Poland’s oldest and most known castles. Kraków is Alexa’s favorite place in the world...seriously go visit you won’t regret it!
Zakopane
If you’re more in the mood for nature, Zakopane is the place for you. About a 2 hour drive from Olchowa, this town is the capital of the Podhale or Highlander region, located just at the foot of the Tatra Mountains. Check out Krupówki street for shopping, dining and nightlife. Trails up to Gubałówka, Morskie Oko, and Kacprowy Wierch will give you amazing views of the mountains!
