Our ceremony will be held in a Polish Catholic church. So with that being said, please dress accordingly. Ladies please keep shoulders and cleavage covered. Men: no hats while inside the church. Our general dress code is semi formal, formal is welcome. For ladies, a full length dress or cocktail dress (no white please). For men, a tux or dark business suit and dress shoes. Ladies remember to wear comfy heels or bring shoes to change because there will be lots of dancing!
There is no official end time to weddings in Poland :) Sometimes they can go until 6am the next morning. This also applies to poprawiny.
We will have a designated driver at our wedding who will drive you to your hotel whenever you would like to leave.
August is one of Poland’s hotter months. Highs can reach into the mid 80s, lows in the 60s. Chances of rain are usually pretty low around this time. It is generally less humid than it is in Chicago.
The majority of our wedding will be held indoors. If you would like to join us at the bride’s house for the blessing and to escort us to the ceremony, then that will be the only outdoor event. Everything else is indoors.
Our church and venue are both air conditioned as well as the hotels we have listed. With that being said, many stores, homes and other buildings do not have AC…please dress and plan accordingly.
Poland uses “złoty” as their currency. Try to avoid exchanging money at the airport if at all possible. They will rip you off! There are a few money exchanges in Sędziszów Małopolski that will give you a much better bang for your buck. We recommend these two: Wesoła 12A, 39-120 Sędziszów Małopolski Rynek 13, 39-120 Sędziszów Małopolski
Your presence at our wedding is present enough. But, if you were thinking of a gift to help us on our way...a monetary gift would help make our special day!
Please don’t hesitate to call or text the bride/groom or Weronika (the maid of honor). We are happy to answer any questions and are here to help!
