The East Bay Bike Path is a 14.5-mile paved rail trail in that hugs the coastline and goes all the way to Providence. This trail is great for walking or biking and it's the path starts just a few short steps from the Bristol Harbor Inn.
If you have a free afternoon, Linden Place Museum is a beautiful home. It was built in 1810 by the seafaring slave trader, General George DeWolf and was designed by architect, Russell Warren. The mansion now operates as a historic house museum and has daily tours.
Great spot to rent bikes in town. If you are adventurous enough to bike the roundtrip trek to Providence they have electric bikes for rent!

Stunning 3.5 mile walk along Newport’s pristine coastline will give you a waterfront tour of the majestic mansions and an awe-inspiring view of the Rhode Island Sound. This activity is walking distance from the Newport Beach Hotel & Suites.
This ten mile drive showcases the history of opulent summer homes from the 1800's along with public parks and miles of beautiful shoreline. This is one of the most popular "drives" in the country. Beginning at the Elms, past the Breakers, winding around Ocean Drive to Fort Adams, passing the New York Yacht Club and ending at Kings Park on Newport Harbor. This drive offers some of the best scenery you can imagine and explains why RI is called the "Ocean State".
