House Or Rental

Airbnb

There are a ton of house rental options on Airbnb, but the best ones can book up quickly in late spring and early summer. Please look for rentals near Langley (main town where majority of guests will stay) or in South Whidbey (between Freeland, Sunlight Beach, Maxwelton, etc.) for your convenience. DO NOT BOOK ON LOVELY CAMANO ISLAND. IT WILL BE TOO DIFFICULT TO GET TO THE EVENTS ON WHIDBEY.

House Or Rental

VRBO

Another great house rental website! Please view info stated on the Airbnb link for details regarding where to stay. DO NOT BOOK ON LOVELY CAMANO ISLAND. IT WILL BE TOO DIFFICULT TO GET TO THE EVENTS ON WHIDBEY.

Travel Note

Bed & Breakfast

There are a number of charming B&B's on Whidbey near Langley. Some recommendations include Comforts of Whidbey, Eagle's Nest Inn, Bell's Beach, and Country Cottage of Langley. Click on link to view Whidbey's B&B repertoire. You may also refer to Fireseed's website for more lodging accommodation recs. Go to http://fireseedcatering.com then to "Resources" then scroll down to "Guest Accommodations."

Flight

Sea-Tac Airport

Most out-of-towners will be flying into Sea-Tac Airport (south of Seattle). This is the main airport into Seattle. You are encouraged to have a car on Whidbey Island. You have a few choices to get to Whidbey Island, which is north: ( 1 ) Rent a car at or near the airport. ( 2 ) Take the Sea-Tac Shuttle from the airport to a car rental facility on Whidbey Island. See Sea-Tac-Whidbey Shuttle below for more info. https://www.seatacshuttle.com/ (See Car Rentals below.) (3) Charter a flight with Lynkair from Sea-Tac Airport to Oak Harbor Airport (north Whidbey). https://www.lynkair.com/book-a-lift (4) San Juan Airlines also offers charters from Sea-Tac Airport to Oak Harbor Airport (north Whidbey), as well as much of the beautiful San Juan Islands. http://sanjuanairlines.com If you have rented a car at Sea-Tac Airport, you will drive north through the greater Seattle area to the Mukilteo Ferry terminal— about an hour's drive. (Please see Ferry Information below.)

Flight

Paine Field

Newer airport that recently began accommodating commercial flights for Alaska, American, Delta, and Southwest. It is less than a 10 minute drive from the Mukilteo Ferry terminal! If you are able to find flights here and plan to head straight to Whidbey upon arriving in Washington then this could be a very convenient option! You ARE able to rent a car at this airport as well, appears that Enterprise, Avis, and Hertz all have a location here.

Travel Note

Ferry Information

One way of getting to Whidbey Island is taking a lovely ferry ride, just shy of 15 minutes, from MUKILTEO (mainland) to CLINTON (Whidbey Island). OR, you can bypass the ferry altogether and drive up north through Deception Pass, adding an extra 1-1/2 hours, but you will avoid ferry lines. If you do choose Deception Pass, look into construction information as they are in the midst of a 2-year bridge restoration project. https://wsdot.wa.gov/news/2021/02/03/restoration-work-deception-pass-canoe-pass-bridges-resumes-new-contractor You can preview the ferry schedule and book tickets in advance at https://wsdot.wa.gov/ferries/tickets Plan to arrive 45 minutes prior to your departure time because summer ferry lines can stack up. Ferries run every 30 minutes this time of year so don't fret if you don't make the first one! You can and are encouraged to drive your car onto the ferry so you have access to your lodgings when you arrive on Whidbey Island.
