Thank you so much for visiting our wedding website. We are so excited to celebrate our special day with our family and friends in South Carolina. This website contains wedding day details, travel information, and much more. Please take a look! We hope you can make it! Love, Alex & Steph xoxo
It all started with Steph’s love for baseball and Alex’s love for soccer. They both devoted their lives to the sports they loved which drove them to the same university, NJIT, where they would play at a division 1 level. They were just two kids who just knew they loved their sport and were ready to take on the challenges of being a student athlete at a high academic school. After first seeing each other from the bleachers, they finally met at a party where they decided to leave early to go eat subway sandwiches & watch home alone…in October. After Steph insisting how much he wanted to watch Home Alone when it wasn’t even close to Christmas, Alex gave in and realized that she secretly wanted to watch it too. Who knew Kevin McCallister could spark Christmas cheer in October and love. Happy Halibejs, ya filthy animals!
While Alex rummaged through old pictures of herself and her family, she holds up a few photos and says "This is exactly why we can never tear down that big old oak tree on my front lawn." The pictures show her as a baby, her first day of school, her communion, her prom, her graduation; all in front of this big old oak tree. Every time there was a need to take a nice picture, her family would say "Time to go in front of the tree to take a picture!" This tree was always in the background of every important moment in her life so... It only made sense that the next biggest moment in her life happened there too! So, one weekend I took Alex to her home so we could go to our accountant and do our taxes. I began to prepare for the following day trying to keep my cool all through the night and the morning but I kind of slipped when I said "Make sure you get your nails done and wear nice clothes when we go to get our taxes done. The guy deserves nice attire out of respect."...She had no idea. So, on February 21st, 2020, (Before getting our taxes done) I told Alex that I had something to show her outside on her front lawn. I took her over to the big old oak tree where I had planted 3 rocks with painted roses on them. She says "That's really nice Steph." I then say why don't you get a better look at them. Alex goes over, picks one of them up and turns the rock over where it says "Will you marry me?" She quickly spins around seeing me down on one knee. With not much shock, She said yes! Needless to say, our accountant understood why he never saw us in our "nice attire" that day!
