Vibrant eatery offering traditional Sichuan plates in an open, airy dining room, plus patio seating. Our favorite dishes are the dan dan noodles, spicy crispy chicken, and eggplant in spicy garlic sauce. Note: they have multiple locations in Houston, but this one is the closest to our venue! If you’re wanting to get outdoors, check out Memorial Park! The park was recently re-done and is one of our favorite weekend spots. You can walk the 3-mile loop or take a blanket and snacks for a picnic.

Our favorite local coffee shop! Tenfold Coffee serves delicious, in-house roasted coffee in a big, airy space in the Heights. We always elect to enjoy our coffee on the patio outside if the weather is nice. Food wise, they have a variety of fresh pastries daily and a taco truck out front on the weekends. If you’re a pastry person, we recommend the almond cardamom croissant! Open 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

While you're at the Menil, we recommend walking over to Richmond Hall to check out Dan Flavin's light installation. Open 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM (Wed-Sun).
One of our all-time favorite taco spots in Houston! An unassuming counter-service joint with the most delicious tacos. We recommend the Trompo tacos with salsa verde and pickled habanero onions (if you’re a fan of spice, of course). This casual spot also serves breakfast tacos all day! Open 8:00 AM-8:00 PM.
