Flight

Flying to Portland

We recommend anyone flying in for the weekend flies to Portland International Jetport (PWM) -- it's a very small, easy airport located really close to downtown. If flying from the Washington DC area, there is a direct fight from DCA on American and a direct flight from BWI on Southwest. From the airport, it is about a 10 minute drive to downtown Portland, and most hotels have a shuttle service.

Parking

For guests who drive to Portland we recommend parking at your hotel and leaving your car there all weekend! The ferry terminal is located in Downtown Portland just across the street from the suggested hotels. Once on the island both the church and the reception venue are just a short walk (less then a half mile) away! For any guests with mobility concerns we will have a few golf carts on the island.

Ferry Information

To get to Peaks Island there is a ferry service from downtown Portland. It is a little less than a twenty minute ride and runs once an hour. If coming over on the ferry Saturday morning we recommend considering coming over a little early and checking out the island! See the Things To Do page for our list of suggestions.
