Rental Car

Uber

Taking an Uber or a taxi from Edinburgh Airport will be the quickest option. From Edinburgh Airport, it's a 35 minute ride and costs approximately 35-50 pounds ($40-$55 USD, $53-$75 CAD) Car rental is another good option especially if you plan to explore around Scotland before or after the wedding. I (Perrin) have rented a car and driven this route, and it's an easy and beautiful drive.

The Neidpath Inn ($)

This is Peebles' favorite pub, and is where we will be hosting a welcome party the evening before the wedding. The owner says rooms are currently undergoing renovations,, and are soundproof so sleeping above the pub won't be an issue.

This pub is centrally located in Peebles and not far from the castle. They have the best fish & chips I've ever had, and all the locals (and reviewers) say their rooms are comfortable and clean.

The Tontine Hotel ($$)

Tontine is a small, family run hotel in Peebles. We have stayed here and it's very clean and friendly, with delicious breakfast included.

Nearby Castle Properties ($$$)

The Neidpath Castle owners have several rentals that are a 5 minute drive from the castle. These accommodations are outside of the main town, so will give you a quieter stay. We would recommend having a car if you pick this option!
